List of the International & Domestic Airports of the Maldives

The atolls of Maldives encompass a territory spread over roughly 90,000 square kilometres (34,749 sq mi), making it one of the most disparate countries in the world. It features 1,192 islets, of which two hundred are inhabited. The Republic of Maldives’s capital and largest city is Malé, which is the location of the main international gateway for the country.

Velana International Airport (MLE/VRMM) provides a unique service for the airports of the Maldives as it serves as a connection point for long-haul international flights, short regional flights to the domestic airports, and seaplane flights to the private resort islands.
